* To re-flash the firmware in a PC *
************************************

* The easiest way to update the firmware is to use the ATTO Setup utility
  program during boot. Using this method requires the firmware to be placed
  on a floppy drive because the CD drivers for the computer have not been
  started yet.

* You will need one blank 1.44 MB disk for SCSI firmware and/or one for Fibre
  Channel firmware. The disk will be formatted during creation.

* Insert the blank floppy and this CD into the PC. Execute one of the following
  batch files to create the floppy (Please substitute your CD-ROM drive letter for d):

* For Fibre Channel firmware:
d:
cd ProTools\fc
makedisk.bat

* For SCSI firmware:
d:
cd ProTools\scsi
makedisk.bat

* Remove the floppy. You are now ready to re-flash the host adapter. Re-boot
  the PC. Shortly after powering up your PC, the ATTO banner will appear showing
  that an ATTO Host Adapter was detected. Immediately after, you will be prompted
  to hit Control-F (for Fibre Channel adapters) or Control-Z (for SCSI adapters)
  to enter the setup utility. Do this.

* Select the option to update the firmware.

* Follow the instructions on the screen.

* Once complete, remove the floppy and re-boot the PC.
